Research Overview
Each Sector Skills Council has a core responsibility to produce top quality labour market information on the skills trends and developments in their sector across the UK and to undertake regional, national and international comparisons.
To fulfil this remit, Proskills carries out comprehensive and regular research across all its industries and engages directly with its employers through extensive consultation.
The outcomes of our research are used to:
- To inform Proskills UK strategy and objective setting
- To lobby government to influence and shape government skills and funding policy so that it delivers against the needs of the sector
- To identify gaps in delivery and provision
- To inform the development of relevant standards and qualifications
- To inform the development of training solutions and products and services
- To evaluate and improve the performance of Proskills
Proskills welcomes comments and feedback on its research activities and reports. If you have any enquiries please contact Andy Challis on 01235 432 047 or email andy.challis@proskills.co.uk or Ed Pyne on 01235 432 087 or email edward.pyne@proskills.co.uk
