BEST – Sustainability Training in Wales

Proskills is pleased to invite you to the launch of BEST – the Built Environment Sustainability Training Programme in Wales.

BEST Wales is an exciting new programme which will offer imaginative and flexible training to professionals working in various disciplines across the built environment sector. It will help to develop individuals’ skills, improve business profitability and enhance Wales’ reputation as a front-runner for sustainability in the UK and EU. Proskills is a joint sponsor of BEST, providing a voice for employers in the supply chain to construction in the research and qualification design.

The programme will be officially in Cardiff on the 20th March. The Cardiff launch will be opened by Deputy Minister for Skills, Jeff Cuthbert AM, and will include brief talks from experts in industry and academia to explain the programme covering the themes of Water, Waste, Low Carbon Energy, and Construction – both existing and new-build.

More information on BEST is available on the Proskills website, on the dedicated BEST site, or just get in touch with us directly. If you are interested in attending the launch event, you can register here. We hope to see you there!

BEST is supported by the European Social Fund through the Welsh Government, and will offer training to those living or working in any of the Convergence areas from autumn 2013 – July 2015. Cardiff University’s Welsh School of Architecture is the lead sponsor, working with Asset Skills, Constructing Excellence in Wales, CITB-ConstructionSkills, the Energy Saving Trust, Proskills, and Summit Skills.
